A music genre is a conventional category that identifies some pieces of music as belonging to a shared tradition or set of conventions.
After a long period of learning the students will test their knowledge and evaluate their understanding and their ability, against a wide range of musical styles.
It helps to amalgamate everyone's efforts to produce the best possible outcome, since student will be preparing together, using peer to peer assessment opportunities to evaluate each others' abilities and to enhance their learning.
